Two Years Later

I felt inspired by the DC theme "One Year Later". The last two years have flown by. I don't feel like being sappy by recaping the last two years. I just know that I've come a long way and still have a way to go. I have no regrets on how everything has turned out. Nevertheless, it's going to be fun ride whether this leads to!!!

Oh Why Zidane !!!!!

I still can't believe it. I really thought France was going to win. All I want to know is what did Marco Materazzi say to Zidane. I saw a replay on YouTube and it's pretty clear that Materazzi said something. Zidane doesn't look like the type of player to fly off the handle during a critical match with out provocation.

So much to say

I finally got a moment to post something.

World Cup: I have been watching most of the games from my laptop. I don't get my cable until this weekend. I watched the USA get their asses handed to them. The Czechs controlled the entire game. Our boys look like a deers caught in the headslight. No one look they wanted to step up. I keeping hope that we at least we finish with a 1-1-1 record instead of 0-0-3.

Chelsea: I was sad to see that Huth is leaving and Gallas is all but gone. In the case of Huth, he really needed first team play and he was not going to get in our current rotation. It looks like Gallas has been wanting to leave for sometime. It's a shame they couldn't hold on to him. I really like him. Chelsea opened up their wallet and paid some cash for Michael Ballack, Andriy Shevchenko and Salomon Kalou. With the signing of Shevchenko, this pretty much signals that Crespo is heading back to AC Milian. These signings are all good on a paper, lets see if it works on the pitch. I'm glad to see that this whole John Obi Mikel mess is over. I just hope it was worth it, our reptation in the league is taking a beating.

Comics: Infinite Crisis lived up to its hype. I actually looking forward to the 52 series. Marvel's Civil War has piqed my interest. I curious to see what they have planned for Spider-Man. It looks the powers to be are going somewhere down the road end his marriage to Mary Jane. They want to return Peter to the single life. Good luck with that one.

New Jersey: I like the area, like NH it takes people a little while to warm up to you. It might be a little longer before I get a date.

X-Men The Stand: Preptimeposse does a good review of the movie. http://preptimeposse.blogspot.com/

I slightly laugh, when i hear "I am the Juggernaut bitch"

Finally Made It to NJ

My first post since, I got here to NJ. Survived my first week on the job. Already found a place to stay. 10 miles from work and it's brand new!!! Learning my way around the area. I have become an expert on the nomadic lifestyle. I think, I will have a good time here in New Jersey. So much to do. In all, a new beginning for me.

I'm a Kit Watcher

I like to follow the kit designs in Soccer. I wanted to get a sneak peak of the 2006-2007 Kits . The Chelsea kit looks nice but I really like the Bayern away kit! Why can't Addias do that for some of the MLS teams?????

The 54# tradition

First Chuck Howley, then Randy White and now Bobby Carpenter wears the Cowboys #54 jersey. The Cowboys must really like this guy to give him that number. I suspect a history lesson came with the jersey. I will have to keep an eye on this guy to see if he keeps up the tradition.

Corinthians warn Chelsea off star man Tevez

I know we have the money to pay the transfer fee for this guy. I rather see Chelesea give Carlton Cole a shot instead of paying Corinthians their outragous price. I might change my mind about Tevez if he performs really well at the World Cup. Even then I will have some doubts and taking his game to the Premiership. There has to be a striker of reasonable price that give can us to goals we need to win the Champions League next year.

Pittsburgh Chapter Closes

I finished my last day at work yesterday. They gave me a great send off. Another chapter in my life is closing. I look back on my year in Pittsburgh with mixed feelings. I will miss living in Pittsburgh, I love the area and the people. I just couldn't work it to where I could work on what I wanted to do and stay here. No regrets, I start a new chapter: The New Jersey years!!!!

Civil War is Coming

Between Chelsea getting knocked of the FA Cup and tying up loose ends at work. Marvel's Civil War series is coming out. The storyline sound interesting. I found this cool countdown, I am
probably not the only genius posting on their blog. I really don't care!!!

Horoscope Sez

You can probably sweet-talk your way in or out of any situation you need to today, dear Aquarius. Realize that you have a great deal of power within, and as long as you aren't afraid to use it, you can accomplish anything. Don't be afraid of failure. If you never try, you will never succeed. If you see missing pieces in the plan don't worry about it, trust that things will fall into place as you need them to. Keep your eye on the prize!

Finally

I haven't been able to post anything, I have been busy trying to get my affair in order.

I am leaving Pittsburgh in three weeks for New Jersey. Yes, I got the job. It took me awhile, put I finally got my old life back. I am going to miss the burgh. I really like this city, it's a hidden gem. It was time to leave my current position, I was starting to get complacent and that's not a good thing. I finally got my career on the right path. Or the path I would like to take.

7 points

7 points separate Chelsea and Man U. I still believe that we can win the Premiership. But if they lose the next match, I would start get worried. I watched online , DC vs. NY and Houston vs. Colorado matches. I wasn't shocked by the score in the DC/NY game, but Colorado is still underachievering team, that I watched while living in Denver. I have to admit, I really like Houston's new kits. I might just have to buy a Houston kit, even though I'm DC United fan (I really hate their new kits) .

No No No!!!!!!

Just when I thought it was safe to read comics, I now see this. I like the writer but the artist that a different story.

Ouch!!!!

Maybe it doesn't look as bad as it looks.

An Update On My Whereabouts

It looks like my days in Pittsburgh are growing short. I might be moving a little closer to the east coast. Hell, you don't get any closer to the Atlantic Ocean than this. My prayers and with some help from my friends I might be back into my old career. I saying might because, I waiting to hear the finally word that I get the job. I'm sad to be leaving Pittsburgh, but this great opportunity. I just wish those idiots at US Airways didn't lose my bag on a direct flight to my interview. Oh well, everything happens for reason.

Multi-Watching

I watching online the Carolina Challenge Cup. Wow, I'm impressed with this streaming video. Houston is leading 3-0 over New York Red Bulls. I have the Memphis - UCLA game on the TV behind me. Memphis is trailing 13-22 right now. Come on Tigers!!!! I switched over and check in with the BC vs. BU NCAA regional final hockey game. Last time I checked, BC is leading 2-0 over BU in the 2nd period.

Chelsea beat Man City today 2-0. And again, Chelsea is in some controversy. Good Grief, guys what the hell are you doing????

I just heard that Chelsea might play the MLS All Star Game in Chicago. I will have to start making plans if that is a go.

Moving on Again

I just met someone recently and thought there was a potential relationship. Well something happened from that time to now to change how she viewed me. I don't what happened but I know this, I definitely did not do anything to her that would warrant this behavior from her. I hate been rejected, especially we have that strong of connection. It sucks. Your ego is bruised, you start to wonder what you did or say to put you in a unfavorable light. I realize now that I was a complete gentleman and I was dealing with someone who is not honest and not worthy of my attention.

Dallas is Making a Deal with the Devil

I watching the TO to Dallas press conference. I 'm not sure about Dallas signing Terrell Owens. I'm hope Jerry Jones knows what he is doing. This a major risk, this could really back fired on them. I wonder if the Parcells signed off on this trade. I don't see him at the press conference.

Campbell signs with Marvel

It was reported at WizardWorld Los Angeles that J.Scott Campbell signed an exclusive contract with Marvel. The artist will partner up with Jeb Loeb for a unnamed Spider-Man title in 2007.

I am look forward to reading Loeb's take on Spider-Man again. I liked his and Tim Sale's "Spider-Man Blue" run.

I will have to pony up the money to buy this series, when it comes out. I am not a big fan of this comic art/writers arms race. But it gives the fans the chance to see their favorite artists or writers on new titles that they normally don't handle.

Concacaf Champions Cup

With the NCAA Madness getting ready to begin. I just want to give my two cents worth about MLS in the Concacaf Champions Cup. I wasn't happy to see the MLS teams exit the CCC.

Frank Dell'Apa writes what ails MLS in the CCC.

Neither the Los Angeles Galaxy nor the New England Revolution deserved to advance in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Both MLS teams failed to take advantage of the home leg of the tournament and, although they threw a scare into their opponents in Costa Rica, they could not have been expected to win the away leg.

My Teams Update

Chelsea won this weekend, Memphis won the C-USA Basketball tournament, recieved a number 1# seed in the tournament. And the Cowboys are rumored to sign TO. Well two out of three is not bad.

I still trying to figure this out.

I just ran across this while websurfing. I thought it was deep.

My Revised Rant For The Day

I just delelted this page long rant about a women who i recently meet. Aparently she didn't have the courage to tell me that she was no longer interested in me. I felt she took the punk way out. After walking away from my computer for a few minutes, I decided to let it go and delete my orginal rant. It's her lost or at least that's what I am telling myself. I just hope when that situation presents itself to me. I hope, I fair a lot better than she did with me.

Soccer and My Love Life

But with the drama of Houston 1836 (now Houston Dynamo) is now over. I am pretty amazed with how fast that deal with Red Bull and the Metrostars went down. Hello New York Red Bulls!!! While MLS makes strides off the field. They took another step back onfield in Concacaf Champions Cup. NE and LA went down but not with a fight. I am more disappointed with LA. How do you let a two goal lead slip away.

Personally, I am keeping the faith that I will get a call back for a onsite interview. As on the dating front, I just meet someone recently who is attractive and smart. But I am starting to relies that Art Girl (that what I will call her here) is just going through the motions and is not real interested in me.

Horoscope Says

Everyone you know assumed that you might fall apart once a certain element was removed from your life, but they were wrong -- and how. You set out to prove just what you can do all on your own.

I try not to put much stock in these, but everyone once in awhile. It hits pretty close to the mark.

So Close, Yet so Far

Chelsea was knocked out of the Champions League today. I was trying to remain optimistic that Chelsea could turning around the deficit from the first leg but Barcelona was the better team today. Oh well, we can still win the FA Cup.

I'm trying to jump start my love life again. I'm finding harder than usual. I meet someone recently, but i can't get a feel if she playing me or she really is interested in me.

Wednesday, March 01, 2006

On a day like today it is important for you to take action, dear Aquarius. Trust yourself and your instincts. Often times you will have the perfect advice for every situation and every other person except for yourself. Keep in mind that in order to find the best council for yourself, you might have to consult the brains of others. Talk things out and take definitive action. Hesitation will cause delay. You have all the facts you need.

Kinda of ironic, with what just happened. After talking to a trusted friend. I just sucked up my pride and called an ex-friend for help. I want my old career back and my pride will have to take a backseat. I know my ex-friend can help me. After what he did, i hate that i have to ask him for help. I just hope that i don't live to regret this.

Boondocks on Hiatus

I just found out read the Glyphs blog, that the Boondocks strip are on haitus for six months.

The lifestyle that i have grown accustom

I was talking to a friend who has grown tired of her current situation at work. The financial benefits does allow her live the life that she is accustom to. I am barely maintaining my lifestyle with current work situation. But it is comes at a price. I can't go out as much as i used to you. How i can get back in the dating game, if you can't afford to go out???? I do know this, this my last year doing what i am currently doing. I don't get my break, then I doing something else that i can paid.

Monday, February 20, 2006

I heard some more words of encouragement today. Maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Chelsea advanced in the FA Cup today. Barcelona is up next, the big controversy is the state of the Chelsea's pitch. Give it rest and just play the bloody match.

Houston 1836

I am huge Soccer fan. I follow MLS religiously . I was not happy to see San Jose relocate to Houston. Recently there has uproar about the name of the Houston franchise "Houston 1836". At first, I thought it was a cool name. But I have been reading some articles, that has me now questioning my previous views on the name.

Super Bowl XL

I would like to see the Seahawks win. But the Steelers have to much going for them. The game will be close, the Steelers will win.

Update: It was close for three quarters but Pittsburgh pulled away, 21-10. This city is going to go nuts!!!!

Bye Bye Liverpool

I missed the webcast of the game. Chelsea beats Liverpool 2-0. Perfect!!! This win pretty much wraps up the Premiership title. We still have the FA Cup and the Champions League to go. I rather see Chelsea win the the Champs League title than anything else.

Making up for lost time.

Instead of going to happy hour with the people, I work with. I decided to go solo to my favorite bar instead. I wanted to make up for my low-key birthday on Tuesday. I had a few beers and a shot, that was so hot it cleared my sinus.

While being socialable. I ran into someone, who I have not seen in a long time. I didn't remember her name but I remember her background from the first time we met. I felt a connection that I haven't felt in a long time.

Monday, January 30, 2006

Finally saw completely the first episode of the Boondocks last night. Getting over my cold. I haven't decide how I am going to celebrate my 31st birthday. Memphis Basketball is soaring right now!!! I need to start making some inroads in my future and fast.

I am trying to get over a cold. Losing my voice. Getting ready to turn 31. So much to say but I

really don't feel like say it at this point. Some things are best left unsaid.

WTF

Chelsea won again. But what was disturbing was Arjen Robben being sent off for second yellow due to excessive celebration. WTF!!!!!!! You have to be kidding me. I understand the FIFA rule that Robben violated. That rule really bites!!!!!

My Horoscope

The weekend. Finally. And what a weekend. You're feeling especially amorous, and you won't be alone for a single second -- not unless you want to be, which is highly doubtful. Go ahead. Let that certain someone know just how much you enjoy their company -- and how much more of it you want to enjoy between now and Monday. Don't you dare waste this on late-night television.

Friday 13th

I usually have Friday 13 moment. But it looks right now, it's going to a uneventful day. Which for me is a good thing!

Sunday, January 08, 2006

Chelsea 2-1 Huddersfield

The bench got a chance to play. A win's a win. Especially when it comes to the FA cup. I keep seeing reports of the FA Cup losing its luster. This is the type of game that keeps the interest of the cup going.

Hostel

I went to the movies to see Hostel. I was not impressed, a flick with lots of T and A, blood. With the execption of scene involving the eyeball, I was not clinging to my seat. At least I got out of the house.

Monday, January 02, 2006

Chelsea beats the Hammers

They are squeezing as many Premiership games as they can before the 2006 World Cup. This will give the England national team their much needed break. With the African Nations (Cup (Drogba and Essien are called up), Barcelona in the Champions League and the congested fixtures will really test the depth of the Chelesa bench. To win four straight games over Fulham, man City, Birmingham City and West Ham today, is a great accomplishment to me.

Best black character in comics

I was reading the recent article from Rich Watson. He talks about Agent 355 from the Y-Last Man series being the one of the best current black character in comics. I was late comer to the Y-Last Man series. But i caught up with the tradebacks and collecting back issues. It's one of the few comics that i read that i look forward to reading. There has been some twists in the story line, Representative Brown's death and Beth's pregancy (as i look back, I should have seen that coming). The next issue deals with the orgin of Agent 355. Nice!!!! Can't wait

A Very Memphis Holiday!!!!!

Memphis Football finished a trying season with a victory in the Motor City Bowl. DeAngelo Williams is a definite first round draft pick. Love the all blue jersey. The 4th rank Men's team beat Gonzanga. Not a bad at all!!!

A What the f**k moment !!!!

I just learned that my ex is still trying to contact me. This qualifies for my "What the f**k moment". She has not taken the hint from my non communication that i want nothing to do with her. You think after almost two years you would get a hint???

I can't believe, I almost miss this

I almost forgot that Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 in Highbury last Sunday. I watch a little of the match on ESPN.com. The first league win since 1990. I still remember watching Chelsea struggle there and look at them now.

The Cowboys looked awful against the Redskins. I could not watch the second half after that disastrous first half.

Memphis Basketball is ranked 4 the the nation. This year start is best since the 1985-1986 team. They ended going to the final four that year. Hopefully 2005-2006 team can duplicate the same feat without the probation.

Memphis Football faces the Akron Zips in the Motor City Bowl. Should be a good game, nice way for DeAngelo Williams to finish his senior year. Memphis should win!!!!

I finally got my membership card to Chelsea New York Blues Club. Woo Ha!!!!!

I Hate Mondays

I really hate Mondays. Everything that could go wrong with me happens on Monday. I went to lunch, and my car wouldn't start. I had to get a jump start. I thought, I had another past problem under wraps, until the idiots send the information to my parents address after i told them that i need it sent to my current address. I don't think, I could have been any clearer when I explained where the information was to sent. But yet and still, they f**ked it up. Maybe tomorrow will better.

Busy at work. Striking out with the ladies. I watched the world cup draw yesterday. The Usa drew a tough group. I don't think they can win it . But they can advanced. If they do make, It look like they will have Brazil waiting for them. Chelsea is currently leading 1-0 over Wigan. Thank god for Espn webcast.

I finally watched Saw and Million Dollar Baby on DVD this week. Are you telling me that Morgan Freeman earned an Oscar for that performance. Ahh, the power of Eastwood movies. He should have got one for the Shawshank Redemption or Glory. It was good but it not Oscar worthy. Looks like the Academy finally made up for all those years overlooking the guy.

Chelsea won 1-0 while, I was typing this. Yea!!!!!

Recap of my current events

I really have not had the time to post something. But to recap the last week or so

I have been catching in up in my comics reading. I would love to know how 355 survives that fall.

Watched the premier of the Boondocks on Adult Swim. Love the show, I am not too sure about Huey and Riley voices.

As a Cowboys fan , I am watching and loving the drama with Terrell Owens. I feel sorry for

Donovan McNabb, he's a good quarterback and doesn't deserve this crap.

Chelsea lost to Real Bettis 1-0 and then lost again 1-0 to Man U in the league, Ugh

Breaking my new dell laptop, i miss my old computer, which

Bye Bye Carling Cup

Eventually our winning streak was going to end. I rather it happened during the regular season instead of a cup tie. After being deadlock for 90 minutes and extra time, it went to penaties. Charlton wins 5-4 on penalties. We had our chances but did come through.

Stand up and be Counted

I always go by Buzzscope, to get my daily dose of comics. I read this great article by Rich Watson. It's my manifesto. It's good to know there are others that share your view.

Update

Where to begin.

Well Chelsea is still winning. 4-1 over Real Bettis yesterday.

I could wait any longer, I brought Infinite Crisis # 1. I saw the previews, and it

lives up to the hype. You gotta love the panels where the Freedom Fighters were

ambused by the Society of Super Villians.

X-Men

Ever since Grant Morrison left X-Men. I feel that X-Men and Uncanny X-Men have no direction. I can't remember the last time, i picked up an issue and it did not leave me yearning for the next issue, until now. It just seems like the both comics are rudderless right now. The Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday briefly restored my faith in the X-Men. Hopefully this House of M can shake this things up.

Memphis Basketball

I just hope this is the last off-court incident this season for Memphis basketball.

That's hopeful thinking.

The showdown with Liverpool ended 0-0. According to reports, Chelsea got away with two serious calls. Oh well, I will take a draw over a loss any day.

I am in a funk

I am really in a funk right now. I going through the motions. I just want to get my career back on the right track. I need to snap out my funk before it does some damage.

Dave Chappelle

I went to see Dave Chappelle stand up, Thursday night. He touched on his "freak out" moment. I got the impression, that Dave is through with his show and Hollywood for that matter. He was funny, even though we had some morons in the crowd screaming "what" the damn entire time.

Horoscope says today

Somehow -- and you're not exactly sure when this happened -- you ended taking a detour on your career path, and now you're stuck with a flat on a side road. Never fear, however, because this time is about to come to an end, with a little work from you -- and your lucky stars. It's not an entirely straightforward time; while you're chafing at your current position, it's also a little scary to be forced out of the nest. You've got the wing power to fly higher, though, so go for it.

Kinda sums up my current situation to a tee.

Pretty Funny, If you ask me.

Enough said. I am still laughing.

My Teams Won.

Chelsea and the Cowboys won this weekend. I need to get down to the local pub and see Chelsea, I have been slacking of late.

Get a Clue

I can't believe it, I don't think, I could have been anymore clearer to this person. But some people, don't get the hint. I have nothing more to say to you. I guess, I will have to use more colorful language to get my point across to this idiot.

New Orleans

I missed an opportunity to see the Berlin Wall and the World Trade Center before those landmarks were removed. I managed to see New Orleans before it's tragedy. I was there in 1999. I remember going to Superdome and Bourbon Street. When I look at the photos of New Orleans now. It's hard to imagine that I used to walk the same streets where bodies are now floating.

Backyard Brawl 2005

I am proud of the effort Memphis gave in their lost to Ole Miss. We should have won, despite losing our starting quarterback in the first quarter. We were so close to winning, it was a just a bad pass in last drive.

Kanye

Kanye, Kanye, Kanye. You did not pull any punches. I think you got America's attention!!!!

Wedding Day

I am down in Florida for a friend's wedding. I was an usher, a last minute thing. It's the least, I could do. It's been a fun time, i think if i get married, it will a simple wedding. Nothing fancy.

Science at work

When I read this, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. You know things in South Africa have gone really bad, when women have to start using this.

Katrina

I have been watching the devastation from Katrina. I can't believe how fast things in New Orleans have descended into madness. My heart and prayers goes out to those who have been hurt by this disaster.
