I just spent three weeks on a jury in a lawsuit vs. Merck. I met some interesting people that i wouldn't normally meet in other circumstances. It's an experience that I enjoyed and have a new found respect for our legal process. I'm just now realizing how far reaching our decision is having in other cases vs. Merck.

A Good Laugh
Can you remember the last time you had a good laugh? When I mean a "good laugh", a laugh that hurts so much. I heard a good story involving a toilet and saran warp. It was a good story and one that i hope, i don't forget.

Frustrated
Frustrated like hell right now. Didn't get the job. My laptop hard drive crashed and the drive's data was lost. Not looking forward to another year the current job. But after listening to the personal accounts of people who are out work on NPR. I really don't have much room to complain.

Best Quote I've Heard Today
I thought this was an amusing post from the ESPN GameCast about England captain's armband during the England vs. Egypt friendly today.
"Rooney now coming off for Carlton Cole and the captain's armband goes to Barry. It's like a hot potato and no-one wants to give it to Terry".

Leaving the 18-34 demographic
Turned 35 on Sunday. My birthday plans were put on hold due to the unexpected snowstorm. At least it gave me the time to start my plans to close a chapter in my life.

The Brotha In The X-Wing
I was always curious to know who was the brotha flying in a X-Wing in Return of the Jedi. The scene was brief, but it had me ecstatic as a kid to see a person of color in a X-Wing. I jumped on wookieepedia and was sort of surprised to find that Grizz Fixx had a name and backstory.

Interesting Times
Turned 34 over the weekend. Had two of my closest friends treat me to an insightful and great night at AC!
Been interesting month or so.
Obama was sworn in.
I'm on Setanta Sports is back as The Special One TV
Chelsea beat Middlesbrough in the midweek. (Don't get me started on the Liverpool match.
Gallardo left DC United.
Memphis beat Tennessee in b-ball and got back in the top 20
Watched back to back exciting Superbowls. Who would have thought it!

I'm glad David Alan Grier is getting his due. I can't stop laughing about his new show.
Crossed 2#
I picked up the latest issue of Crossed #2. This quote from Clerks II says it all "I'm disgusted and repulsed and... and I can't look away" . Wow

Wow
While I was in New York, I picked up Garth Ennis' Crossed #1. I can't recall the last time a comic i read that punched me in my gut. The last splash panel left me speechless. There is a character named "Joel" that pays a horrific price for his standing by his convictions. Ennis goes to a really dark dark place and shows how people without restraint or morals can be. I'm debating if i want to pick-up anymore issues. It's a good read but it so disturbing!!!
