MLS is coming

The start of the 2009 MLS season is around the corner. I've been playing to close attention to DC United off season moves. Hopefully this year doesn't turn out to be a disaster like last year. You won't be seeing these four highly publicized acquisitions(photo) from last year.

Interesting Times

Turned 34 over the weekend. Had two of my closest friends treat me to an insightful and great night at AC!

Been interesting month or so.

I picked up the latest issue of Crossed #2. This quote from Clerks II says it all "I'm disgusted and repulsed and... and I can't look away" . Wow

While I was in New York, I picked up Garth Ennis' Crossed #1. I can't recall the last time a comic i read that punched me in my gut. The last splash panel left me speechless. There is a character named "Joel" that pays a horrific price for his standing by his convictions. Ennis goes to a really dark dark place and shows how people without restraint or morals can be. I'm debating if i want to pick-up anymore issues. It's a good read but it so disturbing!!!

Argh!!!!

I thought Memphis had the game in the bag against Rice, when i went to bed. Apparently, the game was far from being decided!!! Unbelievable.

This is why I love my girlfriend.

My girlfriend has been my rock of late. I can lean on her for comfort and perspective. I remember on our vacation in Florida, i was talking about the endless debates between atheists and theists. After giving both sides of their arguments; she looked at me and said "Who gives a shit" everyone is spending too much time wondering whether or not this is a god. I laughed for a minute and moved on to enjoying our vacation. Thanks sweetheart for putting it in perspective!!!

I have neglected my blog over the last two months. I have been sorting myself out lately. I have lot a questions and looking for answers. I feel when it's all said and done. I will be a better person for it.

I'm a big fan of Steven Goff's blog "Soccer Insider". If opened his blog up for questions, I asked a

question about the future of the SuperLiga and my question was answered!

Q. What is the future of SuperLiga after the 2008 competition?

A. Good question. We have yet to receive the specifics of this year's tournament. It's an awfully cluttered calendar for MLS teams. This event is largely dictated by Spanish-language TV, particularly in Mexico, which means there is a lot of money behind it.

My Birthday

It's my birthday today, I turned 33 today. Today, I just want to smile and laugh. I figured this strip from Keith Knight would a good start. Enjoy!!!!!

My Whereabouts

Work and life have been getting the best of me. It's been awhile. Since my last post, Chelsea is back in the top 3, Dallas is 11-1, and Memphis is #2 in the nation. And more important, i met a very interesting woman. I believe we will see more of each other in the upcoming months!!!!

Tonight

There have been moments in my life that really tell me how certain people see me. Tonight was one those moments. I was treated like i was a thief and a dog. The part that upsets me the most is the fact that I was a gentlemen the entire time. Instead it was the cue for certain people to past judgment without getting to know me. To those who past judgment tonight - GO F*CK yourself, you prejudice wack jobs!!!!
