Thoughts on the FIFA Club World Cup

As I'm watching the fifth place game between Auckland City vs. Jeobunk Motors. Auckland City is representing the OFC well. They have some good shots on goal, they just can't finish. Despite the concern that the OFC would be weak after the departure of Australia, Auckland is justifying their place at the tournament. I really did not like the idea of having them play in a playoff against the J-League champ to gain entry to quarterfinals. They earned the right but FIFA wants butts in the seats and having a host team would do it. They are considering adding 8 teams to tournanment next year. Like the World Cup, the host would gain a place, but does that mean the champion of this year tournament comes back to defend their title. I am curious to see where this is going????

Shevchenko??????
Chelsea is three points behind ManU. They are looking good. There are talks that Shevchenko will be shown the door at January transfer window. Rumors are flying on the reason on why Shevchenko might be transfered. Am I the only one who thinks, Chelsea should at least give this guy a year at the least before send him packing. He just joined the team.

Loses for everyone
Cowboys, Chelsea, DC United and Memphis all bit the dust last weekend. Work has been taking most of my time but i managed to watch most the games. Novak really screwed the pooch against New England. What can I say about the Cowboys. Does anyone on that team know how to block on a field goal!
On a good note, I voted yesterday.

We made ESPN Bottom 10!!!
After three straight bowl games, we overdue for a bad season. ESPN listed the 10 worst college football teams each week. Look who made the list. I hoping we finish the season 5-6.

Physician heal thyself
I went today for an MRI for my nagging right shoulder. I didn't realize how confined a MRI machine really is. For a second, I almost freaked out how tight it was inside there. I felt like I was in a coffin. I got through it with flying colors, but the things you have to put up with to get healthy.

My nutty neighbors
I thought I found the perfect apartment. It was 15 minutes from where I worked and close to grocery stores and restaurants. What I didn't know, I had moved above the very definition of a "bad relationship" This bad relationship is definitely out of convieniece. Clearly neither party has the courage to leave the other person. The fights are sporadic and loud. Doors are slamming and "Bitch", "Whore" and "Asshole" are peppered in every sentence during their fights. My nutty neighbors fights have spilled out their apartment and have been a public scene for the entire complex to see. The cops have been called to quell their disputes but that has not stopped to them continuing fighting. I have managed to keep my wits and not allow their mess bring me down. But there is coming a time where I can no longer be blissfully ignorant about this bad relationship. My ignorance is coming to end and very quickly.

Thinking Outside of the Box
I always believe that I was "Thinking outside of the box" when it came to my work. Ever once in awhile, someone will come along and force me to rethink how I view my thinking. I had a moment at work, where someone opened my eyes to something that was so obvious that it was staring me right in the face.

My rant
I am on rant today. I really hate people who have nothing better to do with themselves but love to f**k with you. I am the type person, who goes about their business and let's everyone do their own thing. I don't bother you and you don't bother me.

Two Years Later
I felt inspired by the DC theme "One Year Later". The last two years have flown by. I don't feel like being sappy by recaping the last two years. I just know that I've come a long way and still have a way to go. I have no regrets on how everything has turned out. Nevertheless, it's going to be fun ride whether this leads to!!!

Oh Why Zidane !!!!!

I still can't believe it. I really thought France was going to win. All I want to know is what did Marco Materazzi say to Zidane. I saw a replay on YouTube and it's pretty clear that Materazzi said something. Zidane doesn't look like the type of player to fly off the handle during a critical match with out provocation.

So much to say
I finally got a moment to post something.
World Cup: I have been watching most of the games from my laptop. I don't get my cable until this weekend. I watched the USA get their asses handed to them. The Czechs controlled the entire game. Our boys look like a deers caught in the headslight. No one look they wanted to step up. I keeping hope that we at least we finish with a 1-1-1 record instead of 0-0-3.
Chelsea: I was sad to see that Huth is leaving and Gallas is all but gone. In the case of Huth, he really needed first team play and he was not going to get in our current rotation. It looks like Gallas has been wanting to leave for sometime. It's a shame they couldn't hold on to him. I really like him. Chelsea opened up their wallet and paid some cash for Michael Ballack, Andriy Shevchenko and Salomon Kalou. With the signing of Shevchenko, this pretty much signals that Crespo is heading back to AC Milian. These signings are all good on a paper, lets see if it works on the pitch. I'm glad to see that this whole John Obi Mikel mess is over. I just hope it was worth it, our reptation in the league is taking a beating.
Comics: Infinite Crisis lived up to its hype. I actually looking forward to the 52 series. Marvel's Civil War has piqed my interest. I curious to see what they have planned for Spider-Man. It looks the powers to be are going somewhere down the road end his marriage to Mary Jane. They want to return Peter to the single life. Good luck with that one.
New Jersey: I like the area, like NH it takes people a little while to warm up to you. It might be a little longer before I get a date.
X-Men The Stand: Preptimeposse does a good review of the movie. http://preptimeposse.blogspot.com/
I slightly laugh, when i hear "I am the Juggernaut bitch"

Finally Made It to NJ
My first post since, I got here to NJ. Survived my first week on the job. Already found a place to stay. 10 miles from work and it's brand new!!! Learning my way around the area. I have become an expert on the nomadic lifestyle. I think, I will have a good time here in New Jersey. So much to do. In all, a new beginning for me.

I'm a Kit Watcher
I like to follow the kit designs in Soccer. I wanted to get a sneak peak of the 2006-2007 Kits . The Chelsea kit looks nice but I really like the Bayern away kit! Why can't Addias do that for some of the MLS teams?????

The 54# tradition
First Chuck Howley, then Randy White and now Bobby Carpenter wears the Cowboys #54 jersey. The Cowboys must really like this guy to give him that number. I suspect a history lesson came with the jersey. I will have to keep an eye on this guy to see if he keeps up the tradition.
Corinthians warn Chelsea off star man Tevez
I know we have the money to pay the transfer fee for this guy. I rather see Chelesea give Carlton Cole a shot instead of paying Corinthians their outragous price. I might change my mind about Tevez if he performs really well at the World Cup. Even then I will have some doubts and taking his game to the Premiership. There has to be a striker of reasonable price that give can us to goals we need to win the Champions League next year.

Pittsburgh Chapter Closes
I finished my last day at work yesterday. They gave me a great send off. Another chapter in my life is closing. I look back on my year in Pittsburgh with mixed feelings. I will miss living in Pittsburgh, I love the area and the people. I just couldn't work it to where I could work on what I wanted to do and stay here. No regrets, I start a new chapter: The New Jersey years!!!!

Horoscope Sez
You can probably sweet-talk your way in or out of any situation you need to today, dear Aquarius. Realize that you have a great deal of power within, and as long as you aren't afraid to use it, you can accomplish anything. Don't be afraid of failure. If you never try, you will never succeed. If you see missing pieces in the plan don't worry about it, trust that things will fall into place as you need them to. Keep your eye on the prize!
Finally
I haven't been able to post anything, I have been busy trying to get my affair in order.
I am leaving Pittsburgh in three weeks for New Jersey. Yes, I got the job. It took me awhile, put I finally got my old life back. I am going to miss the burgh. I really like this city, it's a hidden gem. It was time to leave my current position, I was starting to get complacent and that's not a good thing. I finally got my career on the right path. Or the path I would like to take.

7 points
7 points separate Chelsea and Man U. I still believe that we can win the Premiership. But if they lose the next match, I would start get worried. I watched online , DC vs. NY and Houston vs. Colorado matches. I wasn't shocked by the score in the DC/NY game, but Colorado is still underachievering team, that I watched while living in Denver. I have to admit, I really like Houston's new kits. I might just have to buy a Houston kit, even though I'm DC United fan (I really hate their new kits) .

No No No!!!!!!
An Update On My Whereabouts
It looks like my days in Pittsburgh are growing short. I might be moving a little closer to the east coast. Hell, you don't get any closer to the Atlantic Ocean than this. My prayers and with some help from my friends I might be back into my old career. I saying might because, I waiting to hear the finally word that I get the job. I'm sad to be leaving Pittsburgh, but this great opportunity. I just wish those idiots at US Airways didn't lose my bag on a direct flight to my interview. Oh well, everything happens for reason.

Multi-Watching
I watching online the Carolina Challenge Cup. Wow, I'm impressed with this streaming video. Houston is leading 3-0 over New York Red Bulls. I have the Memphis - UCLA game on the TV behind me. Memphis is trailing 13-22 right now. Come on Tigers!!!! I switched over and check in with the BC vs. BU NCAA regional final hockey game. Last time I checked, BC is leading 2-0 over BU in the 2nd period.
Chelsea beat Man City today 2-0. And again, Chelsea is in some controversy. Good Grief, guys what the hell are you doing????

Moving on Again
I just met someone recently and thought there was a potential relationship. Well something happened from that time to now to change how she viewed me. I don't what happened but I know this, I definitely did not do anything to her that would warrant this behavior from her. I hate been rejected, especially we have that strong of connection. It sucks. Your ego is bruised, you start to wonder what you did or say to put you in a unfavorable light. I realize now that I was a complete gentleman and I was dealing with someone who is not honest and not worthy of my attention.

Dallas is Making a Deal with the Devil
I watching the TO to Dallas press conference. I 'm not sure about Dallas signing Terrell Owens. I'm hope Jerry Jones knows what he is doing. This a major risk, this could really back fired on them. I wonder if the Parcells signed off on this trade. I don't see him at the press conference.
Campbell signs with Marvel
It was reported at WizardWorld Los Angeles that J.Scott Campbell signed an exclusive contract with Marvel. The artist will partner up with Jeb Loeb for a unnamed Spider-Man title in 2007.
I am look forward to reading Loeb's take on Spider-Man again. I liked his and Tim Sale's "Spider-Man Blue" run.
I will have to pony up the money to buy this series, when it comes out. I am not a big fan of this comic art/writers arms race. But it gives the fans the chance to see their favorite artists or writers on new titles that they normally don't handle.

Concacaf Champions Cup
With the NCAA Madness getting ready to begin. I just want to give my two cents worth about MLS in the Concacaf Champions Cup. I wasn't happy to see the MLS teams exit the CCC.
Frank Dell'Apa writes what ails MLS in the CCC.
Neither the Los Angeles Galaxy nor the New England Revolution deserved to advance in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Both MLS teams failed to take advantage of the home leg of the tournament and, although they threw a scare into their opponents in Costa Rica, they could not have been expected to win the away leg.

Chelsea won this weekend, Memphis won the C-USA Basketball tournament, recieved a number 1# seed in the tournament. And the Cowboys are rumored to sign TO. Well two out of three is not bad.
I still trying to figure this out.

My Revised Rant For The Day
I just delelted this page long rant about a women who i recently meet. Aparently she didn't have the courage to tell me that she was no longer interested in me. I felt she took the punk way out. After walking away from my computer for a few minutes, I decided to let it go and delete my orginal rant. It's her lost or at least that's what I am telling myself. I just hope when that situation presents itself to me. I hope, I fair a lot better than she did with me.

Soccer and My Love Life
But with the drama of Houston 1836 (now Houston Dynamo) is now over. I am pretty amazed with how fast that deal with Red Bull and the Metrostars went down. Hello New York Red Bulls!!! While MLS makes strides off the field. They took another step back onfield in Concacaf Champions Cup. NE and LA went down but not with a fight. I am more disappointed with LA. How do you let a two goal lead slip away.
Personally, I am keeping the faith that I will get a call back for a onsite interview. As on the dating front, I just meet someone recently who is attractive and smart. But I am starting to relies that Art Girl (that what I will call her here) is just going through the motions and is not real interested in me.

Everyone you know assumed that you might fall apart once a certain element was removed from your life, but they were wrong -- and how. You set out to prove just what you can do all on your own.
I try not to put much stock in these, but everyone once in awhile. It hits pretty close to the mark.

So Close, Yet so Far

Chelsea was knocked out of the Champions League today. I was trying to remain optimistic that Chelsea could turning around the deficit from the first leg but Barcelona was the better team today. Oh well, we can still win the FA Cup.
I'm trying to jump start my love life again. I'm finding harder than usual. I meet someone recently, but i can't get a feel if she playing me or she really is interested in me.

On a day like today it is important for you to take action, dear Aquarius. Trust yourself and your instincts. Often times you will have the perfect advice for every situation and every other person except for yourself. Keep in mind that in order to find the best council for yourself, you might have to consult the brains of others. Talk things out and take definitive action. Hesitation will cause delay. You have all the facts you need.
Kinda of ironic, with what just happened. After talking to a trusted friend. I just sucked up my pride and called an ex-friend for help. I want my old career back and my pride will have to take a backseat. I know my ex-friend can help me. After what he did, i hate that i have to ask him for help. I just hope that i don't live to regret this.

I was talking to a friend who has grown tired of her current situation at work. The financial benefits does allow her live the life that she is accustom to. I am barely maintaining my lifestyle with current work situation. But it is comes at a price. I can't go out as much as i used to you. How i can get back in the dating game, if you can't afford to go out???? I do know this, this my last year doing what i am currently doing. I don't get my break, then I doing something else that i can paid.

Houston 1836
I am huge Soccer fan. I follow MLS religiously . I was not happy to see San Jose relocate to Houston. Recently there has uproar about the name of the Houston franchise "Houston 1836". At first, I thought it was a cool name. But I have been reading some articles, that has me now questioning my previous views on the name.

Making up for lost time.
Instead of going to happy hour with the people, I work with. I decided to go solo to my favorite bar instead. I wanted to make up for my low-key birthday on Tuesday. I had a few beers and a shot, that was so hot it cleared my sinus.
While being socialable. I ran into someone, who I have not seen in a long time. I didn't remember her name but I remember her background from the first time we met. I felt a connection that I haven't felt in a long time.

My Horoscope
The weekend. Finally. And what a weekend. You're feeling especially amorous, and you won't be alone for a single second -- not unless you want to be, which is highly doubtful. Go ahead. Let that certain someone know just how much you enjoy their company -- and how much more of it you want to enjoy between now and Monday. Don't you dare waste this on late-night television.

Chelsea 2-1 Huddersfield
The bench got a chance to play. A win's a win. Especially when it comes to the FA cup. I keep seeing reports of the FA Cup losing its luster. This is the type of game that keeps the interest of the cup going.
Hostel
I went to the movies to see Hostel. I was not impressed, a flick with lots of T and A, blood. With the execption of scene involving the eyeball, I was not clinging to my seat. At least I got out of the house.

Chelsea beats the Hammers

They are squeezing as many Premiership games as they can before the 2006 World Cup. This will give the England national team their much needed break. With the African Nations (Cup (Drogba and Essien are called up), Barcelona in the Champions League and the congested fixtures will really test the depth of the Chelesa bench. To win four straight games over Fulham, man City, Birmingham City and West Ham today, is a great accomplishment to me.
